Basic Security measures
Danger!
Never walk on loading arm or platform or let
anyone else walk on this part of the equipment.
Walking on the machine may cause injuries or even
death. This is one of the main causes of accidents
related to the use of the machine.
Before starting the self-loading trailer:
• Observe all stickers and warnings affixed on your trailer.
•
Know how to use the emergency stop of your trailer.
• Make sure that all of the commands of the trailer are in the neutral position before
you start the engine of the tractor.
• Replace all used or damaged parts as soon as you notice them.
NOTE :
Consult chapter 6 Maintenance for a complete description
of the maintenance and tune-ups of the machine.
While operating the self-loading trailer:
• Keep hands and feet far from moving parts : loading arm, pusher, dumper etc.
•
Wear safe clothing. Avoid scarves and ample clothing that can easily get stuck in the
moving parts of the equipment.
•
Wear adequate hearing protection. You will reduce the risk of partial or total loss of
hearing provoked by continuous exposure to the noise of the self loading trailer.
•
Use a mask approved for work in dusty conditions.
• If you are working in the evening or at night, be sure that you have sufficient lighting
to work safely.
• Make sure that you have a functional fire extinguisher at your disposal.
•
Never remove any protective device from the equipment. If any of these devices are
damaged or removed, do not use the equipment until it is repaired.
Before repairing or replacing anything on your self-loading trailer:
• Stop the engine.
•
Remove the engine key to be sure that it does not accidentally start during your
repair.
•
Block the wheels if you have to work under the machine.
Handling Hydraulic fluid
Hydraulic fluid is a flammable substance, keep it in an approved packaging and always be
careful when you fill the tank. Once you have finished filling the tank replace the cap on the
