7.6 Maintaining the oil tank breathers
Each planetary oil tank has a breather on top to vent the system's internal pressure. Always keep the
breather clean and clear of contaminants and debris.
To keep the breather in good condition:

Visually inspect the oil tank breather daily and remove any material that may have fallen on
top.

Clean the breather after every 200 hours of use, twice annually, or each time the lubrication
system leaks. To clean the breather:
1. Remove the breather.
2. Remove any debris from the breather and clean it with a mild detergent.
3. Put the breather back on the oil tank.
7.7 Replacing the hydraulic pressure filter (SMART Control option)
On machines equipped with the SMART Control option, the hydraulic system is protected by a
pressure filter. To ensure its effectiveness, it is recommended that you replace it:

Annually;
OR
l
Every 500 hours for machines that are used intensively.

Disconnect the machine's hydraulic system from
the tractor before proceeding.
7.8 Sharpening or replacing the knives
If the knives lose some of their effectiveness, you can start by sharpening them. If that does not
solve the problem, replace them.
