Installing the 2
nd
Plastic Film Roll
Release the brake of the hoop wheel, turn the hoop 180 degrees, and reengage the brake.
Repeat the preceding installation instructions. Put the screen back in place and do not forget to
release the hoop brake before starting the engine.
Leaving the plastic rolls in the sun for an extended period of time before installation can cause
the film to become soft. The film can then be stretched too easily during wrapping and will be
more like to tear or break.
Procedure for Switching from Round Bales to Square Bales
-Remove the 2 ring pins located at the rear of the bale wrapper, which hold in place the bale
guides.
-Next, remove the 2 other ring pins at the edges of the bale guides and reinstall them in square
bale position (Figure 6.5).
-Now remove the 2 forks at the center of the bale wrapper and install them in a flat position at
the edges of the bale guides, with the curve of the forks facing inward (Figure 6.6).
-Next, reinstall the 2 ring pins at the rear of the bale wrapper.
-Install the pusher trigger mechanism, located under the bale guide on the right side of the
machine, by removing the ring pin and placing it at the end of the mechanism (Figure 6.7).
-Next, free the handle using the steel cable, located on the right side of the machine near the
roller table. The lever in the middle of the roller table will descend and touch the hydraulic jack
(6.8).
-With the help of the hydraulic valve, use the hydraulic lever to lower the jack until the front of
the bale wrapper is completely raised. You will notice that the lever in the middle of the table is
now in a vertical position. Next, raise the jack again until the roller table is completely raised
and flat. Now, push in the latch on the right side of the bale wrapper (Figure 6.9) and lower the
jack again to free the roller table lever. Once the lever is free, pull on the handle with the steel
cable to attach it in the appropriate place in order to keep it in locked position.
-You must now raise the pusher so that it will be in the upper position. Use a 15/16 socket
wrench and a ratchet to tighten the bolt on the jack until it reaches the desired position (Figure
6.10).
-2 bale guides are installed on each side of the bale wrapper to center the bales in the middle
of the hoop so that the bale row will be as straight as possible. It is very important to adjust
the distance between these 2 guides to the same length as your bales.
-The automatic system will have to be readjusted because square bales have different
dimensions and the starting and stopping positions of the hoop and the pusher will not be the
same.
