3. Tighten the nut on each tensioner until the washer touches the stopper ( Figure 40). The
spring should no longer be visible (Figure 41).
Stop tightening the nut once the washer touches
the stopper; if not, the chain will be under too much
tension, which can cause premature wear and tear
on the chain and sprocket.
