AMX TDS (Television Delivery System) 

Firmware Upgrades

Overview

This section describes performing firmware upgrades on the DTV-MA01, as well as on DTV Transmitters and 
Receivers.

Upgrading Firmware On the DTV-MA01

The following instructions describe upgrading the device firmware on DTV-MA01 TDS Management 
Appliance.



Before attempting to upgrade the firmware, you must have the latest 

AMX-TDS.JAR

 Module file. 



Check 

www.amx.com

 for the latest device firmware files.

1.

Connect a USB Keyboard and mouse to any two USB Ports on the unit (USB Ports are available on both 
the front and rear panels - see FIG. 92). 

2.

Connect a monitor to the SVGA (or HDMI) Video Output on the rear panel.

3.

Plug in the provided power cable.

4.

Press the Power Switch on the front panel to power the unit on (FIG. 93). 

5.

When the unit is fully booted up, click on the Knopflerfish desktop UI and select the 

AMX-TDS

 bundle 

(FIG. 94).

By default, the DTV-MA01 recognizes all USB keyboards as UK-Style Keyboards. 
There are subtle differences in the key layouts between UK and US keyboards. 
Therefore, if you are using a US style keyboard to enter data, verify that you are 
getting the expected results as you type. This should not be an issue if you are only 
entering basic login credentials and IP address information.
