3-12 IDE HDD AUTO DETECTION
This option detects the parameters of an IDE hard disk drive, and automati-
cally enters them into the Standard CMOS Setup screen.
These 4 IDE drivers can be detected, with parameters for each listed
inside the block. Press <Y> to accept the H.D.D. parameter reported by
BIOS or press <N> to keep the old H.D.D. parameter setup and to the
next drive,If the hard disk cylinder NO.is over 1024, then the user can
select LBA mode or LARGE mode for DOS partition larger than 528 MB.
3-13 Exit Selecting
SAVE & EXIT SETUP
Pressing <Enter> on this item asks for confirmation:
SAVE to CMOS and EXIT (Y/N)? Y
Pressing "Y" stores the selections made in the menus in CMOS - a spe-
cial section of memory that stays on after you turn your system off. The
next time you boot your computer, the BIOS configures your system ac-
cording to the Setup selections stored in CMOS. After saving the values
the system is restarted again.
EXIT WITHOUT SAVING
Pressing <Enter> on this item asks for confirmation:
Quit without saving (Y/N)? Y
This allows you to exit Setup without storing in CMOS any change. The
previous selections remain in effect. This exits the Setup utility and re-
starts your computer.
