3.4 Using the Wi-Fi Feature
The K430 is capable of Wi-Fi networking. Wi-Fi is a wireless networking
technology that uses an access point, also known as the “hotspot”, to connect
to an Internet service provider over the wireless local area network (WLAN).
Some hotspots are open to connect while others request you to present a key to
authenticate your connection. The K430 needs to be configured including such
key to connect to a hotspot.
Follow the guide below to connect the K430 to your wireless local area network:
Note:
Turn off Wi-Fi when it isn’t used to extend battery life.
The Status Bar displays the following icons that shows Wi-Fi status.
Icon
Descriptions
Notifies that an open Wi-Fi network is in range.
Notifies that a Wi-Fi network is connected. Waves indicate signal strength.
