Figure 2.1 Location of Reset Button
After the bed is reset, caster lock mode is activated, and the
(home) button on the control
pendant blinks slowly. You must calibrate the Mobile Patient Bed by pressing and holding the
home button until the bed stops moving (approximately 30 seconds). When calibration is
complete, the Mobile Patient Bed will be in the flat position.
2.2 Adjusting the Bed
All bed adjustments are controlled through the control pendant and joystick control, except for
the headrest assembly and armrests, which are adjusted manually.
WARNINGS
Always lock the Mobile Patient Bed casters before adjusting the bed and before patient loading
and unloading. Even with the casters properly locked, the bed may move under some conditions
on flooring surfaces such as tile or wood. Use on these surfaces must be evaluated and deemed
safe by the healthcare facility before using the Mobile Patient Bed.
When adjusting or moving the Mobile Patient Bed, always ensure that the patient is properly
positioned within the confines of the bed. Do not allow the patient’s extremities to protrude over
the side of the bed or between the bed rails when adjusting or moving the bed.
Moving parts and/or powered mechanisms can cause serious injury. Only operate the Mobile
Patient Bed with persons clear of all mechanisms. Always keep hands clear of moving parts.
