3.1 Description
3.1.1 General
The AR 65 is a pedestrian-operator-guided tandem vibratory
roller. The machine is equipped with a centrally-positioned
2-amplitude exciter.
It is suitable both for compacting bituminous material and also for
light earthwork engineering tasks (e.g. compacting foundation
soil).

3.1.3 Hydraulic system
The hydraulic system consists of drive, vibration and braking
components.
The supply of oil to the pump for the drive and multi-disk brake is
provided by the feed pump. It pumps oil from the hydraulic tank to
the multiway valve and from there via a filter to the drive pump. In
order to release the multi-disk brake, part of the flow is diverted.
When the safety handgrip is released, the oil supply to the drive
is interrupted and the machine remains stationary.
Drive
The drive motors in the rollers are driven by the control pump.
The power is transmitted via a hub connection. The motors are
hydraulically connected in series.
3.1.4 Vibration
The exciter shaft is driven via a geared pump and a geared
motor. This generates the vibration necessary for compaction.
The direction of rotation of the geared motor is controlled via the
multiway valve in such a way that, when rotating in one direction,
the high amplitude is generated through addition of the shift
weights, whereas when rotating in the opposite direction, the low
amplitude is generated through subtraction of the shift weights.

–
Wear personal sound of protection equipment. - Loss of
hearing!
–
Observe the safety conditions.
–
Observe the operating and maintenance instructions.
–
Read the motor operating instructions. Observe the
notes on safety, operation and maintenance contained in
them.
–
Stand the machine on an even surface.
