Shadow RAM Write-Protection
When this option is set to Enabled, the system memory locations that
have been copied from ROM for faster execution cannot be written to.
Setting this option to
Enabled
prevents key areas such as the system
BIOS and Video BIOS from inadvertent destruction. The settings are
Enabled or Disabled. The Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings are
Enabled.
External Cache Write Mode
This option specifies the type of caching algorithm. The settings are
Write-Bk (write-back) or Write-Th (write-through). The Optimal default
setting is Write-Bk. The Fail-Safe default setting is Write - Th.
Non-Cacheable Block
This option specifies how the non-cacheable block of system memory can
be used. The settings are DRAM or ATBus. The Optimal and Fail-Safe
default settings are DRAM.
If
DRAM
is selected, the contents of the area of memory specified in the
Non-Cacheable Block Size and Non-Cacheable Block Base options cannot be
read from or written to either internal or secondary cache memory.
If ATBus is selected, the area of memory specified in the Non-Cacheable
Block Size and Non-Cacheable Block Base options is treated as if it were
not there.
Non-Cacheable Block Size
This option specifies the size of the Non-Cacheable area of memory. The
settings are Disabled,
128 KB, 256 KB, 512 KB, 1 MB, 2 MB,
or
4 MB.
The
Optimal and Fail-Safe default settings are Disabled.
