Setting the North Position
Direction Indicators
permit you to understand the approximate pointing position of the dome to an
established reference point. This reference point is called “North” and may correspond to magnetic
north (if it is known) or some other landmark or fixture. When the dome is initially installed, “North”
defaults to a pre-defined position (0° pan/tilt). You may program the “North” position to be any point
along the dome's pan axis (also called
azimuth
).

Programming the North Position
1. Select
Alarms/Areas/Home/Presets/PZ
from the
Dome Configuration Menu
.
2. Select
Set North Position
.
The
Set North Position
screen appears:
SET NORTH POSITION
PAN to new north position
ZOOM to mark north position
FOCUS quits w/o changing
3. Point the dome to the new North position. When satisfied with the view, save the setting, or
cancel the change.
4. The
Alarms/Areas/Home/Presets/PZ
screen appears. Select
Exit
. The
Dome Configuration
Menu
appears. Continue with
