Hardware Installation
This chapter details how to install your Infinity Fabric™ link.
2.1 Installation Overview
Once you have determined that your system meets the minimum requirements,
perform the following tasks to install your Infinity Fabric™ link.
Detailed installation instructions are provided in the following sections.
1.
Turn off and disconnect your server system from power.
2.
If needed, remove any existing bridge.
3.
Install the new Infinity Fabric™ link.
4.
Start the server system and install the new AMD graphics drivers and
configuration software.
5.
Restart the system.
2.2 Connecting the Accelerator with Infinity Fabric™
link
Relevant information prior to connecting cards through Infinity Fabric™ link should
go here.
1.
Identify the accelerator and desired AMD Infinity Fabric™ Link arrangement
you will be using.
Caution:
Static electricity can seriously damage computer components. Discharge
your body's static electricity by touching a metal surface before you touch
any components.
Note:
Install the four accelerator cards with an AMD Infinity Fabric™ Link
ON
as a 4-card assembly.
