WARNINGS FOR USE WITH BUCKET - GRAPPLE
There are additional specific hazards for cranes equipped with bucket as listed below:
•
Crushing and cutting hazard for upper and lower limbs in the bucket and moving parts.
•
Entanglement hazard in the bucket and rotor parts.
•
Impact hazard for people and property due to uncontrolled release of the load or to accidental
disconnection of the lifting component.
•
Impact hazard for equipment against objects.
•
Structural damage hazard when pressing the load by lowering the crane boom.
•
Hazards due to maintenance performed under unsafe conditions.
WARNINGS
- Cordon off the working area using barriers to prevent people from approaching nearer than 20 m
to the crane and equipment. If in specific cases the equipment requires a greater safe distance,
then this must be adhered to.
- Do NOT use these tools to move forbidden loads as specified in the user and maintenance
manual for the equipment.
- Do NOT insert limbs between the clamshells.
