5.11.1 Seed tube monitoring
The seed tube hoses represent the connection
between the distributor head and the coulters.
Each seed tube hose can be equipped with a
sensor (Fig. 64/1) that detects the seed flow.
A warning message is issued when the seed flow
in a monitored seed line hose is interrupted or
large deviations occur in the flow rate between
the monitored seed line hoses.

If seed tube monitoring is used together with an implement
with ISOBUS system,
the implement plug and the plug of the seed tube monitoring
must be connected to an ISOBUS-compatible control terminal, e.g. AmaTron 4, refer to the
"Seed tube monitoring" operating manual.

5.11.2 Spreading seed with wide row spacing
For spreading seed with wide row spacing, e.g.
maize, individual seed rows can be closed. The
seed flow is interrupted to the coulters that are
not required.
The seed lines in the distributor head are closed
with the plugs (Fig. 65/1).
The assembly tool (Fig. 65/2) is used to insert
the plugs in the distributor head, see section
"Installing plugs", page 197.
