whatever number the clock just struck.  Next use the

minute hand

to set the clock to the correct time.

This should allow the clock and hands to agree.

6.  Your clock is equipped with a

CHIME/SILENT

lever located by the numeral “9.” This means that by

moving the lever you may choose one of the following:

a.

CHIME --

(top position) – Quarter hour chime and hour strike will be heard from the clock.

b.

SILENT --

(bottom position) – No quarter hour chime or hour strike will be heard.

Please note that the markings beside the lever are for reference only.  When making a change, move the
lever completely in the desired direction for the operation to be correct.

Please do not move the lever

when the clock is chiming or striking.

MAINTENANCE

1.

To insure a long life of the movement of your Amana clock we recommend that the clock be oiled every
3 to 5 years and cleaned about every third oiling.  Please note that local conditions can make these
intervals vary greatly.  We suggest that this service be performed by a clock service professional.

2.

Please treat your Amana clock case as you would any piece of fine furniture.  Always avoid any oils or
polishes that contain waxes, silicones or any other product that may build up over time.
