GENERAL
The AlphaCom XL is an alarm interface used to transmit alarm messages via IP to one or more central
stations.
The AlphaCom XL can receive /generate messages from:
The PSTN connection
The 12 inputs
The serial connection, RS-485 bus and client-specific-application
Internal (for example the tamper switch)
and can buffer these messages in an event buffer of maximum 100 messages. In the case that there are more
than 100 messages in the event buffer, then the oldest message will be erased and the new message will be
added (last in – first out).
From the buffer the AlphaCom XL will transmit the message(s) to one of more central stations.

the existing firmware includes some special functions, like the support of the AlphaVision NG bus (RS-
485) and general printer output support (for instance compatible with Galaxy control panels).
The AlphaCom XL can be setup and configured via a web interface. The setup and configuration is
explained in the following pages.
