Service manual AlphaCom XL transceiver Rev. 1.4 10-08-2011
Blz. 36/74
If the AlphaCom XL is powered by the power supply from a control panel it is not necessary to program
these options, the control panel has its own power failure and low battery status.
The settings for
GPRS connection
determines what actions will be taken if the GPRS connection fails. This
also applies when the GPRS connection is defined as a back-up connection and the option
always active
has
been enabled.
The settings for
tamper switch
apply for tamper switch S1 mounted on the AlphaCom XL board. This
tamper switch can be used if the AlphaCom XL is mounted in a separate casing. It is advised to mount the
AlphaCom XL in the same casing as the control panel.
If the AlphaCom XL is mounted in a separate casing then tamper switch S1 can be fitted with a tamper
spring. The appropriate SIA code should also be programmed in this screen. You must ensure that the casing
used for the AlphaCom XL complies with regulations stated. It is also possible to use an external tamper
switch and connect the wires from the tamper switch to an input on the AlphaCom XL.
For the
PSTN tamper loop
a SIA code must also be programmed if the tamper loop option is used. When the
PSTN connection between the analog dialer and the CMK input in the AlphaCom is disconnected a alarm
message will be sent to the central station.
