PROFILE
NAME
profile name
Overview
Use this command to associate a G.8032 profile instance with this G.8032 Ethernet
Ring Protection (ERP) instance.
Syntax
profile name <
erp-profile-name
>
Default
If this command is not used, a profile with the name “default-profile” will be used
for this G.8032 ERP instance.
Mode
G8032 Configure Switch Mode
Usage
A G.8032 ERP instance uses a profile which contains timer configurations and
configurations for revertive modes of operation. This configuration can be
accepted regardless of the ERP instance being disabled or enabled. Any
parameters from a changed profile will take effect the next time the G.8032 state
machine uses the parameters in the updated profile.
Example
To associate a G.8032 profile named “prof_1” with a G.8032 ERP instance named
“blue”, use the following commands:
awplus(config)#
g8032 erp-instance blue
awplus(g8032-config-switch)#
profile name prof_1
