IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet
AT-6101
Single Port PoE Injector
IEEE 802.3af Power over Ethernet
Injector
The AT-6101 Power over Ethernet Injector
provides data and power through the Ethernet
cable to PoE-equipped devices, such as Access
Points, IP Cameras,VoIP phones and any other
equipment supporting the IEEE 802.3af
standard.
Using the companion AT-6102 PoE Splitter even
non PoE devices can be remote powered with
all the benefits of PoE remote powering.
IEEE 802.3af Detection
The AT-6101 complies to IEEE 802.3af standard
and can detect if the connected device supports
IEEE 802.3af and then provides the power to
the device. If the injector detects that the
connected device does not support IEEE
802.3af then it will not provide the power to
the connected device avoiding damages.
Main Applications
Sensible cost savings can be achieved using the
AT-6101 PoE injector for remotely powering
VoIP phones, IP cameras, Wireless Access Points
and any other PoE powered device.
There is no need for additional power cabling
since the AT-6101 feeds power to the
equipment through the same cable used for
data.
Connecting the AT-6101 Power over Ethernet
Injector to a UPS protected power line easily
protects the powered device from power
outages.
The AT-6101 PoE Injector helps in protecting
network investments. In fact there's no need to
replace the existing LAN infrastructure for
connecting PoE enabled devices.
The AT-6101 PoE injector is usually installed
close to the LAN switch but may be installed
close to the powered device as a standard
power supply.
