Part Replacement Procedures

13. Using a flathead screwdriver, pry the fan cover plate off the air flow plate.

14. Slide the fan out of the air flow housing.

Install the Cooling Fan

Install the cooling fan in reverse order of removal.

IMPORTANT

For both drive/fan configurations, verify that the air flow arrow on the fan is
pointed toward the top of the drive.

IMPORTANT

For drives with a fan that is connected to the top air flow plate, verify that
the two spacers are properly placed during installation.
