1120 PLC Field Replacement Instructions
Description:
This kit is used to replace the Allen Bradley MicroLogix 1000 PLC in the 1120 with the Allen
Bradley Micro850 PLC. Serial numbers before 1120-20 were shipped from Norfield with the Allen
Bradley MicroLogix 1000 PLC which was discontinued in June 2017. The Allen Bradley Micro850 PLC uses
the same wiring for the Inputs and Outputs as the MicroLogix 1000 PLC. The Allen Bradley Micro850 PLC
should be Pre-programmed from Norfield.

1x 1120-402 Wiring Diagram
•
1x 9” DIN Rail Section
•
1x 72” Red 16GA wire
•
1x 60” Blue 16GA wire
•
1x 24” Red 14GA wire
•
1x 24” White 14GA wire
•
1x 24” Green 14GA wire
•
5x Crimp Wire Butt Connector (Red)
•
1x 5A fuse
Instructions:
1.
Label Wires connected to PLC and disconnect them from the screw terminals
2.
Move 4CON down with the rest of the Contactors
•
Replace DIN Rail with a 9” section provided in kit
•
Replace wire that is connected to Terminal 2 on 4CON with 24” Red 16GA wire provided
in kit
•
Replace wire that is connected to Terminal 13 on 4CON with 24” Blue 16GA wire
provided in kit
•
Shorten wire that is connected to Terminal 1 on 4CON
•
Shorten wire that is connected to Terminal A1 on 4CON
•
Shorten wire that is connected to Terminal A2 on 4CON
3.
Move 120VAC Power Wires from ML1000 PLC to 24VDC Power Supply
•
Extend L1 wire with 10” Red 14GA wire and butt connector provided in kit
•
Extend L2 wire with 10” White 14GA wire and butt connector provided in kit
•
Extend GND Wire with 10” Green 14GA wire and butt connector provided in kit
4.
Extend 24VDC+ and 24VDC- wires
•
2x 10” Blue 16GA Wire and butt connector provided in kit
