Clearing Faults
This section provides methods for clear faults in the Kinetix 300 drive. You can
clear drive faults by using digital inputs or drive parameters.
Use Digital Inputs to Clear Faults
You can use MotionView software to clear faults by configuring a digital input as
Fault Reset. To clear faults by using this input, you must make the input active
until the fault clears and then deactivate it.
Use Drive Parameters to Clear Faults
You can use the Kinetix 300 drive parameter to reset faults by using Explicit
Messaging or UserDefinedDataLink.
Explicit Messaging
Send Explicit Messages from within the RSLogix 5000 software to Class 374
(hex) Instance 53, Attribute 0 to set it to a 1 and then back to a 0 when the fault is
cleared.
