7.7.6 Scan Rate Doubling
(OPTIc3-PRO)
If you activate this feature the scan rate doubles by
interpolating a line between two actual lines. This
feature helps using the camera at dark conditions or
doubling the scan rates.
With bad light conditions this function brightens the
picture, as the actual scan rate is reduced by half and
thus doubles the exposure time of each line scan.
When activating <Scan Rate Doubling> with the
check mark, the value in the box line scan rate auto-
matically doubles.
Example:
You need to scan the finish line with 3000 fps. When you activate the <Scan Rate
Doubling> it shows 6000 fps without the brightness decreasing. Switch back to 3000 fps and
the picture will be much brighter.

Synchronization
The OPTIc3 camera should always be used with exact time of day. Every start and stop signal
is stored with the time of day to calculate the actual run time. Thus, it is possible to afterwards
allocate a missed start time out of the log file to the start.
If you start the OPTIc3 it automatically takes over the time from the PC (PC time). This is okay
if you only work with one timing device. As soon as you use more than one timing device you
have to synchronize these timing devices to the same time of day (e.g. when using two OPTIc3
and a Timy3).
Open the camera settings for synchronization.
Click here to execute the synchronization of the OP-
TIc3 with other timing devices.
For the synchronization of several
ALGE-TIMING
devices you have to connect the start channel
C0 of all devices parallel.
Input the time of day. This time is the time you start
the device(s). Therefore, input a time one or two
minutes in the future, so you can finish all prepara-
tions.
