Attention:
Over-tightening the clamping screw can damage the front bearing in the drive
motor.
Tip:
Moving the milling cutter axially enables the entire cutting length of the tool’s cutting edges to be
utilised.

2.2 Adjusting the cutting width(B) and height(H)
On shaft milling cutters:
Releasing the clamping lever makes the motor holder movable. The required cut height can be set via the
scale.
Tighten the clamping lever.
The unit is ready for operation.
Verify the cutting width on a sample working piece. Avoid the maximal adjustment at the first run.
2.3 special indication for bevelling of stainless steel
Carbide deburring end mills Premium-Quality, 4 teeth, choose coated type (no rough toothing or respectively fine
curl toothing).
1)
Remove roller guide
2)
select rotation speed 2500 min
-1
or slightly above
3)
select in the first run a maximal cutting width of 4 mm
4)
spray punctually adhesive-foam on the edge of the material
5)
moderate in-feed pressure, approx. 1000mm/per minute
(at the right adjustments you will get bright chips)
6)
Only at the second run you could mill on maximal 7-8 milling width

2.4 When using radius milling cutters:
Detach the motor from the basic unit. Insert a VHM radius milling cutter into the chuck. Maintain a distance of
Z = 110 mm to the radius centre point here. This distance between the motor and the radius centre point is
necessary for correct positioning with respect to the work piece edge.
Fine adjustment is performed my
means of a slight axial adjustment of the motor in the clamping eye.
Releasing the clamping lever makes the motor holder
movable. Set the required milling depth via the scale.
In the case of radius milling cutters, the maximum milling
depth is limited!
Set as follows: On radius milling cutters r = 3.0 mm
→
max. milling depth setting = 2.
On radius milling cutters r = 4.0 mm
→
max. milling depth setting = 3.
On radius milling cutters r = 5.0 mm
→
max. milling depth setting = 3.5.
In the case of hard materials, the radii should be created by means of consecutive work steps with an
increasing feed depth.
