Adjust message settings
In the message list screen, touch
and select
Settings
.
SMS enabled
Open the options dialog to change your default SMS app.
Text message (SMS)
•
Request delivery
report
Mark the checkbox to request a delivery report for
each text message you send.
•
Manage SIM card
messages
Touch to manage text messages stored on your
SIM card.
•
Edit quick text
Touch to add or edit message templates.
•
SMS service centre
Opens a popup to show the service centre number.
•
Validity period
Select a validity period, during which the network
provider will continue to resend the message if not
immediately deliverable.
•
SMS storage
location
Select your phone or SIM card as SMS storage
location.
•
Alphabet
management
Select an Alphabet mode.
Multimedia message (MMS)
•
Group messaging
When enabled, you will be able to send a single
message to multiple recipients.
•
Request delivery
report
Will request a delivery report for each multimedia
message you send.
•
Request read report
Will request a report on whether each recipient has
read a multimedia message sent by you.
•
Send read report
Will automatically send a read report to the sender
if he/she has requested.
•
Auto-retrieve
Will automatically download the whole MMS
message (including message body and attachment)
to your phone. To download only the MMS message
header, unmark the checkbox.
•
Roaming auto-
retrieve
Mark the checkbox to enable auto-retrive when
roaming.
•
Creation mode
Select a creation mode.
•
Size limit
Touch to change the maximum message size.
•
Priority
To set the priority.
Notifications
•
Message
notifications
Will display message notifications in the status bar.
•
Mute
Select a duration to mute your phone when there's
a new message, or turn off the mute by mark the
checkbox of
OFF
.
•
Sound
Select a ringtone as new messages notification
tone.
•
Popup notification
Will show popup for push notifications if enabled.
