Verify Hardware Configuration for Battery String
Being Monitored
Verify the UXBM model number is the correct version for the type of battery being monitored. Some
shipments may include different models, so make sure that each UXBM is verified before installation.
CAUTION:
If the wrong configuration is installed on to the battery, the system could be
permanently damaged.
Locate the model number label on the underside of the UXBM and locate the Model Number.

Verify the voltage range/string configuration of the UXBM matches the rating of the battery being
monitored. The model number is in the format PPPP–VCB, where PPPP is 1005 and V indicates the
voltage range/string configuration. Compare the letter within the model number A, B, C, D or E to the
list below.
A. 2V, 12V or 16V
B. 4V, 6V or 8V
C. 2X12V or 4X12V – illustrates two 12V or four 12V batteries.
D. 3X16V – illustrated three 16V batteries
E. 3X8V – illustrates three eight volt batteries
If any discrepancies or concerns are identified, do not hesitate to contact Alber before continuing the
installation.
