13 HELP IN CASE OF MALFUNCTION
CAUTION!

Sharp-edged and moving appliance parts can lead to injury.

Always wear protective gloves during maintenance, care
and cleaning work.
Malfunction Cause Remedy
Engine does not run. Rechargeable battery is flat. Charge the rechargeable battery.
Rechargeable battery miss-
ing or rechargeable battery
not seated correctly. Insert the rechargeable battery cor-
rectly.
Power supply is interrupted. 1. Remove the battery.
2. Clean the plug contacts on the ap-
pliance.
Motor protection switch has
switched off the motor be-
cause of overload. Wait until the motor protection switch
releases the motor.
Motor keeps cutting out.

The On/Off switch is de-
fective.
Contact an AL-KO service centre.
Cutting blade becomes hot
when running. Generation of
smoke. No oil on the cutting blade. 1. Switch off the appliance and re-
move the rechargeable battery.
2. Clean and oil the cutting blade.
3. Insert the rechargeable battery
again.
