PRODUCT DESCRIPTION
The pole-mounted pruner allows you to prune
trees and other shrubs conveniently and safely
from the ground. This eliminates the time-con-
suming and dangerous work on a ladder or a
tree.
The appliance may only be used together with
the lithium-ion rechargeable batteries and char-
gers specified in the technical data. See the sep-
arate operating instructions for further information
on rechargeable batteries and chargers:

IMPORTANT! Danger of damage to the ap-
pliance and battery.
If the appliance is operated
with unsuitable batteries, both the device and the
batteries may be damaged.

rechargeable batteries.
2.1
Designated use
The pole-mounted pruner is intended for pruning
established trees and other shrubs from the
ground. The user must be standing firmly on the
ground.
Only biodegradable saw chain oil may be used.
Any use other than the intended use described
here is deemed as an improper use.
This appliance is intended solely for use in non-
commercial applications. Any other use as well
as unauthorised conversions or modifications are
regarded as contrary to the intended use and will
result in voiding of the warranty as well as loss of
conformity; the manufacturer will thus decline any
responsibility for damage and/or injury suffered
by the user or third parties.
2.2
Possible foreseeable misuse

The pole-mounted pruner must not be used
for felling trees.
■
Do not saw off any branches that are directly
or at an acute angle above the user or other
persons.
■
Take care not to damage live lines.
■
Do not operate the tool standing on a ladder.
■
Do not use any used oil or mineral oil.
■
Do not use the tool in a potentially explosive
atmosphere.

Residual dangers
Even during correct use of the appliance, there is
always a certain residual risk that cannot be ex-
cluded. Depending on the use, the following po-
tential risks can be derived from the type and
construction of the appliance:
