Network Requirements
The BRIDGE NDI 3G ships configured for DHCP operation. If your facility uses
DHCP, simply connect one of the active Ethernet RJ-45 connectors to your
network.
To manually configure your BRIDGE NDI 3G's IP addresses, on the BRIDGE NDI 3G
application, press the Tab key on the keyboard when no drop-down menu is
visible to open the Settings screen, and select NETWORK.
Media vs Control
Media Network is your dedicated NDI network that can have all the NDI traffic on
it. You can also use it to control the device.
Control Network is a good way to have the interface connected to your general
Internet network through the facility without any concern of NDI signals being
sent on it. That way you can access BRIDGE NDI 3G anywhere in your facility or
VPN without also carrying any NDI traffic on it.
If you have one network in total, you will just use the Media Network.
How to Connect to Internet
Set-up one switch to the Control port in order to connect to the Internet and
to be able to access BRIDGE NDI 3G via a web browser. A second switch with a
separate IP address will be needed to connect your NDI sources and destinations.
Wireless Workflows
You can set up a wireless router to your media network in order to use an iPhone
NDI camera app wirelessly. You can also wire a control switch to a wireless router
so you can monitor the BRIDGE NDI 3G from a wireless laptop.
Unicast Supported
BRIDGE NDI 3G supports Unicast. Multicast is not supported.
Boot Up
On initial system startup, you will need to accept the AJA EULA (End User License
Agreement).
Accept EULA
The EULA is presented only on the first time booting up the system following
delivery, or following a factory reset. Once accepted, the EULA will no longer be
presented upon boot up.
Login
Following boot up, the BRIDGE NDI 3G system will present a login screen. Enter
the username and password.
