Figure 31. Audio Monitor toggled off
Audio Monitor
There are 3 distinct controls provided in the Audio Monitor section of the Control
Bar:
Metering Toggle -
Toggles between display or hide for the Video Tile Meters on
the I/O Screen.
The dual channel Audio Meters on the Canvas can be toggled on or off. Turn
off the dual channel Audio Meters is useful for minimizing activity in the
interface, as well as reducing the load on system resources.
These dual channel meters reflect the two channels being monitored. For all
video channels/groups this will by default be audio channels 1 and 2.
Speaker Toggle -
Toggles between muted or audible for Audible Audio
Monitoring.
This setting impacts Kiosk users since the Kiosk system has the Dual-Channel
USB Sound card.
For remote users through a web browser, this setting has no impact. It is not
applicable.
The Speaker Toggle (Mute Audio Monitoring) button in the Control Bar is a
monitoring control toggle only and has no effect on the SDI or NDI audio I/O.
This function is provided so that an operator could quickly stop audio being
monitored via the analog Audio Output from the supplied USB sound Card
(Kiosk interface only).
When audio meters are on, audio meters display next to each video tile.
When audio meters are off, no audio meters will be displayed next to each video
tile.
Channel Pair Selector
For the video channel/group that is currently selected, you can use this selection
to monitor the audio levels on channels other than 1 and 2 with the "Select" drop-
down control.
This will affect both the visual audio metering on the Canvas, as well as the
audible analog Audio Output from the supplied USB sound Card (Kiosk interface
only).
