Example of Simultaneous Encoding and Decoding
For example, if Engine A (Banks 1 and 2) will be used for Receiving incoming SDI
and Encoding to NDI for Output to the NDI Network, then SDI connections 1-8 on
BRIDGE NDI 3G will be taking in 3G-SDI Sources.
If Engine B (Banks 3 and 4) will be used for Decoding NDI from the NDI Network
and outputting SDI, then SDI connections 9-16 will be outputting 3G-SDI for
3G-SDI Destinations.

Based on the above planning, the information is now available to correctly cable
BRIDGE NDI 3G Video I/O. You can use the Presets Tab from the Control Bar to
experiment with different configurations.

For simplicity, the remainder of this chapter will use BRIDGE NDI 3G for
Simultaneous NDI to SDI Encoding and Decoding, with Banks 1 and 2 (Engine
A) set for SDI to NDI encoding, and Banks 3 and 4 (Engine B) set for NDI to SDI
decoding. For the purposes of brevity, we’ll refer to this as a “Bi-Directional
Setup”.
