1 Product description
The ADS intelligent is a medical device and provides support for ‘functional static therapy¹’,
alternating/change pressure cycle pressure position, and non-taxable position of patients with
the target-prevention of pressure ulcers and bedsore therapy. For this purpose the ADS
intelligent is linked to a special type of mattress from AirMedPLUS. The ADS intelligent is
microprocessor controlled device, equipped with an active pressure control and keeps the
pressure in the air cells constantly
,
related to the set weight of the patient. The device with
the corresponding mattress can be used till pressure ulcers gradation 4.
2 Operation the device
Connecting the device to the power supply.
The ADS intelligent must connect to a power strip of 230 V/50Hz to operate. Other voltages
or frequencies are not allowed, it can lead to damage of the device.
Connecting an AirMed PLUS mattress to the device
For the operating of the ADS intelligent , an AirMedPLUS patient’s mattress must be
connected. See chapter “Turning on the device” for instructions. The ADS intelligent offers
specially adapted pressure protocols, which contains parameters to set the pressure value of
the mattresses exactly, in order to ensure optimal pressure relief.
Other types of patient’s
mattresses from manufacturers other than listed are not allowed and should not be used in
combination with the ADS
intelligent .
Connecting the mattress to the ADS intelligent is made via two multiple pneumatic encrypted
plug at the bottom of the pump. Both the pneumatic plug at the mattress and the pneumatic
plug on the pump side are encoded and fit, but in one direction.
