This document guides you how to inspect and repair your WHA-5500CPE firmware.
Under certain conditions your WHA-5500CPE firmware will crash. The most common situation
is loss of power during the updating firmware process, resulting in not being able to power on.
You can try the following steps to see if the firmware is damaged or not:
1. At local area, ping your WHA-5500CPE IP address
2. Try using telnet to login to WHA-5500CPE
3. Try login to your WHA-5500CPE’s Web UI
It might be possible that the IP address of the WHA-5500CPE has been changed. Please
manually reset your WHA-5500CPE to factory default setting IP address as 192.168.1.1 and
repeat the above three steps to confirm firmware.
Once the setup is powered on,
press the Reset button and
hold for 5 seconds. The setup
will then reset to factory
default setting.
