4.2.12 RADIUS Settings 

Operation Mode -> Setup -> RADIUS Setting 

 
RADIUS servers provide centralized authentication services to wireless clients. Two 
RADIUS servers can be defined: one acts as a primary, and the other acts as a secondary 
backup. If you choose to use 802.1x, WPA, or WPA2 as security policy, you might need to 
set the RADIUS server settings.   

 

 

 

To Enable RADIUS Server:

Server IP: 

The IP address of the RADIUS server.

Port Number: 

The port number that your RADIUS server uses for authentication. The 

default setting is 1812.

RADIUS Type: 

RADIUS 

„

 

Shared Secret: 

This is used by your RADIUS server in the Shared Secret field in 

RADIUS protocol messages. The shared secret configured in the AIRMAX5 must 
match the shared secret configured in the RADIUS server. The shared secret can 
contain up to 64 alphanumeric characters.

RADIUS Server Reattempt Period: 

The number of times the AIRMAX5 should 

attempt to contact the primary server before giving up
