Shading Correction
Shading Correction is performed by Flat Field
Correction(FFC), and FFC also compensates Dark level
Non Uniformity (DSNU), Pixel Response Non
Uniformity(PRNU) and shading image caused by lens or
lighting.This function is to remove non-uniformities in the
image.
The goal of this function is to acquire uniform image, and
it must be performed
under camera’s operating
environment.
Calibration data can be stored up to 2.

FFC Procedure
step1

FFC Preparation
FFC is required to be performed in the operation condition.
First set exposure time and peltier temperature as it runs
in the working environment.

DSNU Preparation
Cover the lens with the cover to block the light comes
through the lens.

Perform DSNU Correction
Enter the targeting black level value and execute DSNU
correction. When it is completed, all pixels are calibrated
as linear as targeted black level in dark scene.

PRNU, Lens Shading Correction Preparation
Set the camera with lens and the lighting as same as
operating condition and shoot the white target without
gradation.

Perform PRNU, Lens Shading Correction
Enter White target level and perform PRNU and lens
shading correction. Once the correction is performed
correctly, you can get uniform image.

NOTE
If the camera’s operating conditions are
changed, it gives
an impact on image quality. This can be resolved by re-
calibration and before performing FFC set the camera
settings such as exposure time and peltier temperature,
lens IRIS and lighting source and perform FFC.
