9.1.3
Filling the spray tank via external filling
See (Fig. 6/2)
-
Connect the filling hose to the connector (C-coupling, Kamlock, etc.).
-
Open the ball valve on the machine
-
Open the intake manifold.
-
Open the water supply from the hydrant or filling tank.
9.1.4
Filling with the centrifugal pump
Before starting up the centrifugal pump, observe the following.
The centrifugal pump is self-priming, but must never run dry! Therefore, fill the pump housing
with water before using it for the first time. If the pump is not used for a longer period of time, it
should be completely emptied. When you use the pump again, make sure that it is filled with
water.
Attention!
Make sure that the tank is sufficiently vented (min. 600 l/min, otherwise open the tank cap).
If no suction filter is fitted to the unit upstream of the filling pump, no water may be sucked in
where there is a risk of sand or foreign bodies being sucked in.
9.2
Filling the clean water tank
Clean water is used for rinsing the boom, diluting the residual amount in the tank, and also for
washing the filter screens and hands. Always fill the fresh water tank with clean tap water.
9.2.1
Standard
-
Fill the lid of the clean water tank with a hose from the water tap.
-
Observe the fill level of the clean water tank.
-
When sufficient filling is achieved, close the tap.
