Hauling the sprayer
Attention!
Take special when hauling the sprayer without the brakes engaged, because the towing vehicle
will not brake the sprayer.
The sprayer must be connected to the towing vehicle before the trailer brake valve is released.
The towing vehicle's brakes must be applied.
The brake system cannot be released by "disconnecting the valve" if the air pressure in the
reservoir falls below 3 bar, or if there is a leak in the brake system.
To release the brakes:
-
Compress the air reservoir.
-
Release all the air in the brake system by draining the valve on the reservoir.
To haul the sprayer:
-
Connect the sprayer to the towing vehicle hitch.
-
Apply the brakes on the towing vehicle.
-
Remove the wheel chocks and parking brake.
-
Release the braking valve.
-
The brake system is release and the sprayer can be hauled.
-
When hauling is finished, apply the brakes using the sprayer brake valve (the compressed air
in the reservoir brakes the sprayer).
-
Apply the brakes on the towing vehicle.
-
Apply the hand parking brake and secure the sprayer wheels with the wheel chocks to
prevent the sprayer from rolling.
-
Disconnect the sprayer from the towing vehicle.
