W2642A Quick Start Guide
3. Click on the
Write to DP
activation button. The DPCD is written to the registers in the DPCD that allow
writing.
4. If you wish to write to a specific register you can use the
DPCD IO
section of the
DPCD
tab. Enter the
Address and Length of the DPCD field you wish to write and then click on the
Write
activation button to
initiate the write.
5. You can also write to specific DCPD segments by selecting the
Hardware
tab and selecting
DCPD
for the
IO
Group
. Then populate values in the Address, Length and Data fields and click on the
Write
activation
button.
Viewing the Transaction Log:
The procedures below describe how to view the transactions between the device under test and the W2642A.
Use the figure below as a reference for these procedures.
To view the transactions log:
1. Select
the
Log
tab on the W2642A.
The transactions are shown in the window.
Note: Reads/Writes of the entire EDID and DPCD structures are not logged here (to keep the information to a
manageable volume).
