Troubleshooting Adjustment Test Problems (N5183A Only)
The table below shows the assemblies to replace to correct specific adjustment failures. Before you replace an assembly because of an
adjustment failure, perform the following procedure:
1.
Confirm that all self tests passed.
2.
Confirm that all required test equipment is in good operating condition and is correctly connected.
3.
Repeat the adjustment.
•
If the adjustment still fails, replace the first assembly listed in the table for the adjustment that is failing.
4.
Repeat the adjustment.
•
If the adjustment still fails, replace the second assembly listed in the table for the adjustment that is failing.

Automated Performance Test Problems
If the self-tests pass, but an automated performance test fails, use this table to locate the assembly that is most likely to have failed. To avoid
unnecessary reconfiguration of test equipment, run the performance tests in the order in which they are listed in the table. Always use the
latest revision of the service software.

Repeat the test three more times, reducing the
power level by 1 dB each time.

If the ACP performance improves, replace the
A3 RF assembly.
•
If the ACP performance remains consistent or
degrades, replace the A2 Vector Module.
