• Email address : Enter the email address of the email account to be used as the sender for
outgoing email alerts
• Username : Enter the user name of the email account
• Password : Enter the password of the email account
7 Press Sender Info again to collapse the outgoing email account settings.
8 Press Apply to apply the settings for both the mail server and the outgoing mail account.
9 (Optional) To send a test email, press Send test email .
A test email is sent to the email address listed in the Sender Info section to verify that the mail
server and sender information that you entered is correct.
10 Press Close to save your changes.
Set up alerts for notification of new protocols
An icon on the touchscreen can be used to alert you when Agilent releases a new or updated
Magnis protocol.
1 From the Home screen, press Settings .
The Settings screen opens.
2 Press Connectivity Settings .
The Connectivity Settings screen opens.
3 Press Protocol Alert Settings .
The Protocol Alert Settings screen opens.
4 Mark the check box labeled Enable new protocol update alert .
When the check box is marked, alerts are enabled. A bell-shaped, protocol update notification
icon, like the one shown below, appears in the top right corner of the touchscreen when a
protocol update is available for download. If the icon is red, then the system is ready to
download the new protocol (i.e., the system is not busy performing another function). Pressing
the red icon opens the
Protocol Update screen . When the Enable new protocol update alert
check box is clear, alerts are disabled and no icon appears in the top right corner of the
touchscreen.
5 Press Close to save your changes.
NOTE
In order to receive alerts, the Magnis/Magnis Dx NGS Prep System must be
connected to the internet.
