Used when the device is stimulated by another data source. Illustrates the use of
an oscilloscope in addition to the error detector.

As in all setups, the pattern sent to the error detector must be the same as the
internal reference pattern of the error detector. Dynamic patterns and/or patterns
with live payloads cannot be used.
