Automatic configuration with Bootp
Editing the IP address and other parameters in EditBootPSettings
1 Select Start > All Programs > Agilent BootP Service and select Edit BootP Settings .
The BootP Settings screen appears.
2 When the BootP Settings screen is first opened, it shows the default settings
from installation.
3 Press Edit BootP Addresses… to edit the Tab File.

In the
Edit BootP Addresses...
screen press
Add...
to create a new entry or
select an existing line from the table and press
Modify...
or
Delete
to change
the IP address, comment, subnet mask, for example, in the Tab File.
If you change the IP address, it will be necessary to power cycle the
instrument for the changes to take effect.
5 Leave Edit BootP Addresses... by pressing Close .

Exit BootP Settings by pressing OK.
Restarting the Agilent BootP Service
1 In the Windows control panel, select Administrative Tools > Services . The
Services screen appears, see Figure 46 on page 245.
2 Right-click Agilent BootP Service and select Start .

Close the
Services and Administrative Tools
screens.
