Step 2. Setup the IP address on the AIC Rev B
Like all network devices, the AIC needs an IP address to identify
itself on the network. The AIC is shipped already configured for
DHCP. If using DHCP, you may proceed to the next section.
Contact your network administrator if you aren‟t sure.
If using a static IP address instead of DHCP, you will need to do the
following:
1.
From the Windows Start menu, select
Start
followed by
Control Panel
. Click
Network and Internet Connections
and
then click
Network Connections
.
2.
Right-click
Local Area Connection
.
3.
Click
Properties
.
4.
In the
This connection uses the following items
section, click
Internet Protocol (TCP/IP)
, and then click
Properties
.
5.
Fill in the values provided by your network administrator.
Step 3. Add the AIC Rev B to the domain
In order to communicate with computers, printers and users from
the domain, the AIC must be a member of the domain.
1.
From the
Start
menu, select
Control Panel
and then select
System
and then
Computer Name
.
2.
Click
Change
.
3.
In the
Computer
name
box, type a unique name for the AIC.
4.
Click
Domain
, and in the box, type a domain for the AIC.
5.
When prompted, enter a network user with rights to add
machines to the domain.
6.
Restart the AIC when prompted.
7.
Login after restart as
Administrator
using
admin
as password
(all lowercase).
