Agilent 93000 SOC Series User Training Part 1, October 2004

18-3 Special Test Elements

You can define special testflow elements which are not part of the 

actual flow. These testflow elements are stand-alone elements where it 

is predefined when these testflow elements are executed. Since these 

elements are not part of the actual flow they are not shown in the Test-

flow Editor. There can only be one element of every special testflow 

element type associated with the testflow. 

Init Suite

The Init Suite is an optional testsuite that can be used to set external 

equipment to an initial state (by supporting the docking of a prober, for 

example). 

N O T E

Testfunctions in the data set are not executed by the init suite, while 

they are by the download suite.

Download Suite

The download suite is an optional testsuite that can be used to get an 

initial setting for the tester. If used, the settings are downloaded when 

the test program is loaded. If not, they are downloaded when the test-

flow is executed for the very first time. 

The download suite is executed after the init suite (if any) has finished.

N O T E

Note that for multi-site testing, your testflow must contain a download 

suite performing a download of the pin configuration. This is necessary 

to ensure that a full multi-site pin configuration is specified early on in 

the hierarchy of a production test. 

Having two suites, init and download, gives you more flexibility when 

setting external equipment to certain states; some you might want to 

set using a data set, others with a user-procedure (one suite alone 

cannot do both)

Abort Suite

The abort suite is executed when the tester gets into the abort state. 

This state is either chosen in the Operation Control Window (in any 

mode), or programmed; or occurs in cases of exception handling
