Initialize the System
Set Up the
Test Set’s Ports and
Tune Mode
When The Test Set was reset in the previous step, its RF IN/OUT port was
designated by default. The PCS Interface requires connections to the Test Set’s
DUPLEX OUT and ANT IN ports.
Placing the Test Set in Manual Tune mode will provide accurate frequency error
results when transmitter frequency measurements are made.

Use the following command string to set the Test Set’s RF analyzer port to ANT IN.
To the Test Set>
RFAN:INP ‘Ant’
2.
Use the following command string to set the Test Set’s RF generator port to
DUPLEX OUT.
To the Test Set>
RFG:OUTP ‘Dupl’
3.
Use the following command string to set the Test Set’s tune mode to Manual.
To the Test Set>
RFAN:TMOD ‘Manual’
