3.7.1 

ADVP as DICOM print SCU 

 

ADVP as DICOM print SCU can be used to check the DICOM interface of the printer. 
In this case ADVP sends a test image to the printer. 

 

(1) Start 

ADVP 

(2)  Select 'Basic Grayscale' in the 

'Start up configuration' screen. 

(3)  Select 'Test - Print Film' 

(4)  Select 'SMPTE' (or any other 

test film). 

(5)  In the 'Configuration' window fill 

in Called (Printer) AE Title and 
'Printer IP address'. 

(6)  Select 'OK'. Now the desired 

test film is sent to the printer.

3.7.2 

ADVP as DICOM print SCP (Print Emulator) 

 

 

ADVP as DICOM print SCP can be used to check the DICOM communication sent 
from the modality. ADVP in this case emulates the printer. The communication can be 
evaluated on site or by a product specialist in the GSC or RSC.
