3.4.6 Insert the Knives
Before starting the procedure
If it is not necessary to use all the knives or only use a group of knives for a longer period, it is better to
replace the knives with blind knives. The blind knives make sure that the slots for the knives that are not
used stay clean from crop material.
Engage the Knives
If the number of knives shown on the Home page of the controller in the tractor is the number you will
install do the following:
Procedure
1.
On the controller push the button
to set the double acting valve in the tractor to engage or
disengage the knives.
2.
Use the double acting valve to engage the knives, the display will be green when the knives engage.

3.4.7 Set the Correct Number of Knives
Procedure
1.
On the E-Link Pro push the button
to go to the tasks page.
2.
Push
to start the wizard.
3.
The number of knives in use is highlighted (white). Set the new number of knives, it will show with a
red black border. If the new number of knives selection is different than the previous number of
knives, the icon "Disengage" will flash.
4.
Use the double acting valve in the tractor to disengage the knives. The icon "Engage" starts to flash
after the knives are in the lower position.
5.
Use the double acting valve in the tractor to lift the knife group selection.
6.
When “Status: Engaged” shows, you can push
to go back to the Home page.
7.
Do the procedure engage the knives.
3.4.8 Prepare the Wrapper for Operation
Before starting the procedure
For a wrapper with optional devices:
• If a bale tipper (optional) is installed, do the procedure, Operating position of the bale tipper
• If a bale mat (optional) is installed, do the procedure, Operating position of the bale mat.
Procedure
1.
Make sure that the tractor engine is "OFF" and the key removed.
2.
Release the wrapping ring safeguard 1.
3.
Release the wrapping ring safeguard 2.
