Find the knife axle lever on the feed channel
housing, on the right in driving direction.
Move the lever down through 90° as far as
the stop.
7.
Go in the bale chamber and use pliers to
remove the knives diagonally up from the
knife axle.

4.11.2 Grind the Knives
Before starting the procedure
NOTE:
Try not to make a large quantity of heat when you grind the blades. This will let you use the knives
for a longer period of time.
Procedure
Grind the knives from the smooth side only.
You must not effect the temper of the blades by grinding.
4.11.3 Install the Knives
Procedure
1.
Go into the machine and push the knives diagonally down on the knife axle.
2.
Turn the lever of the knife axle up.
3.
Release the tailgate with the hydraulic shut-
off valve (1).
4.
Close the tailgate with the controller in the
tractor.
5.
Move the feed channel floor up with the
controller and the double acting valve in the
tractor.
6.
Retract the cutting device with the controller
and double acting valve in the tractor.
