4.10 Examine the Hydraulic Hoses for Damage and Leaks
CAUTION: Risk of injury from hydraulic fluids that can go through skin.
Use a piece of cardboard and DO NOT use your fingers, face or other body parts to
examine for leaks. Fine jets of hydraulic fluid can go through the skin. If one or more
symptoms show after contact with hydraulic fluid, get medical aid immediately.
1.
Make sure that the machine is "OFF" refer to the shut down procedure for maintenance.
2.
From a safe distance look at the hydraulic hoses for damage and a possible leak.
3.
If you find a possible leak, use a piece of cardboard and hold it near the hydraulic hose to find the leak.
NOTE:
If a hose has damage or a leak, speak to your approved technician to replace the hose
immediately.
