7 - MAINTENANCE

Drain the fuel system water separator

Locate the fuel filter/water separator

(1)

on the feed ta-

ble side of the engine next to the communication lights
on the side of the engine.

RAIL16GEN0085AA

Shut off the engine, open the valve

(2)

on the bottom of

the fuel filter/water separator and drain into a container
until fuel clear of water is present.

Shut the valve. Do not over tighten. Dispose of fuel
properly.

Change the filter as outlined in the Cummins Engine
Operation and Maintenance Manual or when he engine
starts to lack power.
